By Infinity byte: The newly launched Jio Laptop will go on sale in India on August 5 through the Reliance digital online site and offline stores as well as in online platforms like amazon.
Reliance much anticipated Budget friendly laptop is available with Sim Card for network connectivity and running on JioOS operating system. Following its initial announcement a year ago, the Jio Book is now available for pre-booking.

Jio Book has many interesting features which makes highly attractive, mostly to the people who would like to spend less for a decent laptop.
- The laptop comes in a blue shade with the Jio branding on the lid. Reliance is flaunting the laptop’s lightweight design. It weighs barely 990 grams.
- Connectivity: Equipped with 4G LTE and Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5.0GHz), ensuring seamless internet access.
- Processor: Powered by the Mediatek MT 8788 Octa Core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz, running on ARM V8-A 64-bit architecture.
- Memory: Comes with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, claiming to give smooth multitasking and performance.
- Storage: Offers 64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256GB via an SD card.

Reliance has clarified that the Reliance JioBook is a Reliance retail product and not a Reliance Jio product. It means the laptop won’t be available on the Jio store online, despite the “Jio” tag in the name.
The laptop also gets 4G LTE support, allowing users to be connected to the internet even on the go.
How to prebook Jio Laptop
To reserve the Jio Book in advance, follow the below steps:
- Visit the official website https://www.jiobook.com or simply here to access directly.
- Select your preferred platform: On the website, you will find an option to purchase the JioBook. Click on it to be redirected to either Reliance Jio Digitals or Amazon, depending on your choice.
- Place your order: If you choose Reliance Jio Digitals, you will see a “PRE-ORDER NOW” button on the page. Click on it, but before that make sure to check out any relevant offers.
- 4. Provide delivery and transaction details: Fill in the required information for delivery and make payment. Dispatch will begin from August 5, 12:00 am.

Jio Laptop Sim Activation
The JioBook is pre-integrated with SIM. There are two options to activate the SIM:
- Visit the Jio Website or app to register for a new sim card. Jio Executive will get in touch with you and schedule a home visit for activation.
- Alternatively, you can carry your Jio Laptop to the nearby Jio Stores for quick activation.
